Fatal Error - Random Crashes

Hello,

My game will crash at random times and is not always a fatal error. It will not allow me to get to my desktop so a manual restart is required. I've seen this happen anywhere from 5 minutes in game to 3 hours. I have rarely exited the game due to my own accord.

**Noted Crashes**
-Map editor - creating a map
-Starting a new campaign
-During a campaign mission
-During a skirmish mission
-During skirmish squad selection screen
-Loading skirmish mission

I've only been able to send a single fatal error report and that was during the first day of the beta. All other crashes require a restart. Today I've had 5 crashes, all during a campaign mission (2 of which were during the first eldar ship encounter - end of Act II with the Blood Angels).

Unsure if it matters, I use an Xbox One controller instead of mouse/keyboard.

PC user here, after couple of missions I cannot play anymore.

I get crashes at the start of a mission. Usually within 1st minute of the gameplay, during or after deployment. Is this a known problem?

After a while I get is error in a separate window:
"Uncaught exception: Sekwencja nie zawiera elementów."

Hello!

If your game freezes when you play, it can be caused by a generic Unreal Engine 4 bug with fullscreen support. Can you try playing in Borderless mode?

I switched to windowed mode and seems to have fixed the problem. I'll follow up later if I continue to get no crashes.

Well the game still crashes - now without the "fatal error" pop up. However having it in "windowed mode" I can at least use the task manager to shut the program down.

According to TM, it was simply "not responding"...

Hi. I had fatal Errors as well each time I started mission. IT STOPPED WHEN I KICKED OFF APOTHECARY FROM MY SQUAD. I know it's a temporary fix but I thought I would share my experience. Propably it's about some skill, card, equipment this guy has that crashes the game.

Who is a consiliar? There is a squad leader, heavy, bunch of assaults and apothecary.

Yes, I was able to play for entire evening without errors so far (even with apothecary)

I always crashed out in the loading screen some people reported crashing out while in game here is a solution that worked for me. 1. Open Start Menu type environment, select edit environment variables for your account. 2. Click on NEW Under " use variables for your username " add Variable Name: OPENSSL_ia32cap add Variable Value: ~0x20000000
Press ok and make sure you restart your system. Ready to play! This will work on Win10/Win11.
