Questions about Genestealers
I absolutely love Space Hulk, it may be my all-time favorite game. The board game got me into tabletop games like 40k and Warhammer. Yet no tabletop/board game has ever had me legitimately sweating like Space Hulk.
I have been playing Space Hulk for almost 20 years now and usually as the genestealers.
So I have a couple questions about how the genestealers play in this game, which perhaps someone could shed some light on.

Firstly, why do null blips disappear after four turns? That has never been the case in any of the Space Hulk editions I have played and it makes no sense. Having a null blip may seem useless at first but when utilized tactically, you can preoccupy a terminator who is defending a flank from nothing. Since they just disappear in this game, null blips are rendered essentially useless.
Secondly, what is with the whole disengage system for moving genestealers/blips? To clarify, the game forces you to "disengage" the genestealer/blip you selected if you want to move a different one and then you can not interact with the disengaged genestealer/blip again for the rest of the turn. The null blips disappearing is frustrating but this just makes me mad. I can not wrap my mind around why this could possibly be the case. Furthermore, while playing as the terminators, the genestealer ai does not follow this rule...
Thirdly, why do blips contain so few genestealers? They are ones or twos and then you can play a card to make a blip a three. In the board game the blips go up to 6. Having the terminator player wondering whether the blip around the corner is 0-6 genestealers makes for far more interesting game play than a measly 1-3.

I am greatly enjoying this game but since I want to primarily play as the xenos, these odd changes are really screwing with my experience. It feels like the devs tried to nerf the genestealers. What am I missing here?

Blips contain between 0-3 Genestealers.
The game tells you this.

Lol I am aware, but the board game has blips that contain as many as 6 genestealers. I am struggling to understand why this change was made.

Good question. Maybe to make the game less difficult.
