Hello,
Im assuming by config you mean my computer specs? Sorry im no very computer minded. Please let me know if im getting it wrong.
Its an ASUS vivobook 17
Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) N4000 CPU @1.10GHz 1.10 GHz
Ram: 8.00 GB (7.83 usable)
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64 based processor
I know its not a powerful device, tho i think it meets the min requirements.
Any help you can give would be awesome, i love this game and really want to play it.
Thanks
else you cant.
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.79 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Same problem - game goes to launch and it dies.
I have attempted re-install x2.
Haha damn, thanks for letting me know.
I also can't find a log file produced by the game. The only thing in the "logs" directory is "benchmark.log". The Windows event log lists the crashes but is as obtuse as ever.
Intel i7-1165G7
16GB RAM
Xe graphics or eGPU GTX 1660 Super

Here's more info about it and a more granular fix:
https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/openssl-sha-crash-bug-requires-application-update.html
This works for Intel 10th and 11th gen CPU's.
Some players using Intel 10th and 11th Gen CPU's have been running into issues with the game crashing upon launch.
This issue is related to a bug in OpenSSL 1.2. Any game that currently uses this version will have issues, this includes Unreal Engine 4.21 which is what Post Scriptum runs on.
Until we have a permanent fix, we have a workaround that should let the users affected play the game. You can find it below.
Step 1. Open "Control Panel" by searching for it in Windows search bar, by pressing the Windows button or key.
Step 2. Go to "System & Security"
Step 3. Go to "System"
Step 3. Press "Advanced system settings"
Step 4. Press "Environmental Variables"
Step 5. Create a new "System Variable" (NOT USER VARIABLE)
Step 6. Enter the following into the Variable name box: OPENSSL_ia32cap
Step 7. Enter the following into the Variable value box: ~0x20000000
Step 8. Now press OK.
You may need to restart your system for the changes to take effect.
1) i had the same problem (core i5 13600, Windows 11 up-to-date, Steam up-to-date, NVIDIA RFX 4070)
2) and that this workaround shown before (with the system variable) also did the trick on my side (thanks for having shared it).
