Remove Reaperfex bypass SM ability
Seriously, i dont know who thought it was a good idea that a reaperfex that can spawn in any blip, with 8 AP, can bypass Terminators, unless they are on overwatch which makes having Melee guys watching your front of back line useless.

Keep the ability to walk through PSY walls, closed doors and rubble but they should definitely not have this ability. We already have random Rubble blocking overwatch, Blips that can place genes 1 tile ahead, Cards that remove 1 Dice and reduce Melee, and a Broodlord that can teleport around to deal with.

Ive had to deal with 2 Reaperspawns the first few turns (and here i thought after 1 spawned the whole deck would need to be used and reshuffled for it to appear again), this doesnt make the game challenging, just frustrating. Especially it maps where you are REQUIRED to split your team. A reaper spawn early on makes this mission almost impossible.

Unlike other cards, Genestealer Biomorph cards don't get re-shuffled into the deck. The Genestealer player only gets the 4 Biomorphs he chose before the game, meaning your opponent chose to have 2 reaperfexes in his team, and got lucky to have the 2 cards, plus the blips of 2 or more genestealers to spawn them. At his core, this game is still Space Hulk, and randomness can screw you over.

Maybe you should be more careful about your positionning, the distance between you and the reaperfex, overwatches and guards. Remember: guard also work from the back.
If the genestealer is not careful enough, you can also cancel his biomorph deployments by getting line of sight on them.

The reaperfex may be strong, but he is far from unbeatable, and his cards also give less genestealers than the Bulwark or Miasmic Biomorphs.

Argh my bad it skipped my mind he could have 2 put reaperfex in his build. I get what you are saying about countering reaper, but we are also talking about the dev maps we have to play in rank matches, and this topic has also been brought up by others.

The Stats speak for themselves, we dont get to choose maps, and half of those map really favour genestealers, (1 wrong mistake or bad random) is this meant to be intended? Because ranking would be abit unbalanced between the 2 factions no?

Balancing is a hard thing to do when nuffle (god of the dices) mess everything up.

In Bloodbowl my oger passed a gretchin. The gretchin let him fall, he loose the armor-draw, he loose the wounded draw ect. At the end that giant beast get poked from a little gnome, fall on the ground and died.

An other time i got a 3dice blitz on the enemy ball carrier. I got 3 skulls, mske a redraw and again 3 skulls, so the enemy could score.

There us a lot luck un that game. And fortuna is ALLWAYS for the enemy.

It's Space Hulk. It's inherently random, frequently frustrating yet also inadvertently hilarious grimdark carnage.
Which is why I decided to give MP a wide berth the moment I saw the "rank" indicators on the main menu.

Playing Space Hulk with someone is fun, playin Space Hulk competitively against someone turns it into a "try not to punch the other player in the face. repeatedly" challenge if one is playing the board game, and I'd rather not find out what that turns into in an online environment.

I love a good challenge, even 30% chance on winning ide go for, at any rate they will be updating some of the maps that are too 'genestealer friendly'. So we will see how it is after.

Miasmic biomorph just moved diagonally past a Force Barrier placed in front of a doorway in one of my games. I guess because they can move diagonally it discounted the FB that was effectively blocking access to the doorway, but this isn't how Space Hulk rules work. Also, that GS don't have to spend AP to change facing over 90 degrees anymore, you miss lots of overwatch opportunities. These are just two among a myriad of little and big rule changes that have resulted in a big shift in balance from the standard rule set. The Full Control version (not Ascension) was faithful to the rules and fairly well-balanced as far as MP but had poor AI. I understand this is not "Space Hulk" and needed to be "jazzed-up" to be different and have some appeal, but most of the new additions have pushed game balance too much to the GS side imo.

Doors - Terminators can't open doors unless they are directly to their front and adjacent. Another disadvantage. In the board game and both Full Control games - A model can be within 1 square but the door must be in one of the three squares in front of it - so diagonally like the GS side can at the moment.

I think the reaperfex is fine as he is altough when used in combinaison with a los-breaking place rubble card to tunnel under a overwatching termie he feels kinda broken as it is just about impossible to predict and thus counter.
