Had the same problem with 1440 x 900 resolution, very lazy on the devs part and usually only happens with the worst console ported games.
Error: Direct3DDevice::Unable to create screen shader
Error: Direct3DDevice::Unable to create default shader
Error: Direct3DDevice::Unable to create screen shader.
I'm using a amd HD6970 and I've rerun the dx redist that is in the NS2 folder a dozen times. So I'm not sure what's going on. Hopefully UWE will figure it out soon. Id love to be able to play the game lol. http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=123846 Is my post on it, if you guys come to this, and you still have no solution follow up by checking on that post. Hopefully we will find a solution to this problem.
