Cant get Mic to work in-game

Hi, My mic works fine in everything, vent, teamspeak, in-game dota 2... but for some reason i am transmitting no sound thru Nat Selection.

yes..It queues up but no one can hear me

There isnt many options available

Go to Steam and then in the Steam options, then Voice. Is everything right there? Can you hear you if you run the test there, because NS2 uses the Steam options

ya.. i can hear myself there.. and my mic works in dota2 a steam game

Hmm, it works fine now.. idk what the problem was..
restarted the client works fine now

This is not solved. The game refuses to adhere to windows default comm device and I cannot broadcast. Mic literally works in 30 other programs.

Aronax, I've been experiencing the same issue, and I just posted in the NS2 official forums about it here[www.unknownworlds.com]. You may want to post there yourself, as more posts on the same topic will probably get more attention from the TS team.

Open up the console and look for the Sound Input Device log entry. Is it the same as your Windows default sound input device?

Same issue. Mic works in all other games but NS2. I NEED A FIX! Can't win if you can't communicate.

got the same problem here. im using a cabled TB PX5 headset works with skype and every other game i play just not ns2. really annoying as for the first 2 matches no one would answer me. so then i had to get a little foul languaged to see if they were just ignoring me for no reason, turns out its the mic. my screen says im transmitting though going to try a restart later see if that does it meh not good though.

Whenever you first load up a match hit ~ key and see if you are getting any errors on the first 5 or so lines.

Also just got an email from them saying "This should be all fixed in the next patch."
