No, its not wireless nor battery operated. Its a Gamecom 777; it brings it's own soundcard with it though.
According to windows the mic's sampling rate is set to 44.1kHz at the moment. I will put it to 48kHz and test it (If its that what you've meant).
Unfortunateley not :( Thank you for your effort to help me though ;)
It really seems to happen only when my pc is fully occupied in bigger battles or in the later part of the match.
For example, when I've played a private match with 6 of my friends my mic was working perfectly fine, but later, on a 16 player server, it crashed again after a few minutes.
I always set the process-priority of NS2 to high in task manager, for a better framerate, maybe thats causing it.
Found out something new: As I said, my mic brings its on soundcard with it. You connect the headset (which includes the mic) to the soundcart and then plug in the soundcard via USB to your PC. But my mic almost always stopped working while playing NS2.
Now I've found out that if I do not plug the mic into the soundcard but into the pc directly the mic does not seem to crash (played about 3 matches now and it was working fine).
So the problem is not solved yet I've found a way to move around it.
