So you play games that load bigger maps?
Soemone doesnt know lots of an game engine.
you are right, i dont know a lot, but i load the game in 30 sec, in games like the last cod (i tried it on last free weekend) red orchestra rising storm, skyrim, crysis, the witcher(wich i cant even play at decent frame rate, but it does load a lot faster) and so on... i play on the lowest graaphics and resolution, i think they could make an option with basic graphics for the players that doesnt have high end pc...
also, i know no game is over in 3 minutes but usually when u join a game it has already started, that plus the 5 minutes loading means joining in the last part of the game....
then i have to wait the load screen again just to notice that i am disconected (wich im not) and have to reload the game again, i know its not the game fault i get the disconected icon, but they could have some way to make the game try to start again, without having to reload the whole map again.
sorry my english
I'll let you know how much faster games load off an SSD compared to a regular HDD.
3570K
Asus 7850 2GB DCU2
4GB Ram DDR 1600
1 tb HDD
Some z77 mobo
Win 8...
As far as bigger map nonsense.
The usual cause that other games with biggerm aps may load faster its because thats a different game engine.
There are thousands of game engines.
Please post example on what games load faster that arnt pretty new, and using a new engine?
Skyrim is an optimised AAA Title. Orchestra uses the dated Unreal 3 engine.
Crysis: Old game
skyrim: Just bassically oblivion. Its not that much of a system hog, and is an pretty optimised AAA title.
Orchestra: Runs on dated Unreal 3 engine?
You're certainly not going to get much of an improvement if you currently load 3 mins. You didnt even post your specs so?
Doesn't keep me from playing, though.
theres ppl that cant afford a high end system, not even a dated one, so i think specially independent devs that knows what is having to work with what they have should consider us... and optimize the game for ppl like me, i mean a second option that made the game looks like skyrim (to give an example) and have the same performance than skyrim...
What i get here is a game that is hardly imposible to get decent fps takes forever to load, and have it looks worse than 2002 games.
The sad thing is tha the best thing of this game and its identity (its gameplay) its limited by the ambition the showed making its graphics, they limited the market from ns2 game by themselves (as if the publicity wasnt enough factor).
If you have a high end system you will have a 5star game that looks great, you will also have my envy.... but if youre a hardworking person from a third world country who was a gamer all his life since nes, and you are tired of the same old fps make money cod formula stuff, sadly you will have to stick to it, because at least they optimize its game to run smothly and look decent on lower systems.
Im pretty sure ill come back to this game around 2014/2015 when i got the chance to upgrade my pc, i hope most ppl think like, im pretty sure this game will increase its playerbase if that was the case. But the truth is that the ppl who was dissapointed of how intolerant this game was with decently old systems will not come back.
