They really need to change the sound for the heavy machine gun, it sounds exactly like an exo, pure laziness on the devs part if you ask me. It also seems to be OP, as an Onos, I charge into a room with just 3 marines, 1 had a mchine gun and halved my health in a matter of seconds. Please nerf this devs.

UPDATE: Just played as marines, bought the lmg and got 6 onos kills with it when they charge 3 of us in a small room one at a time........ Please nerf this devs.

It's just been released, it will take time to balance. The sound issue is known and will be changed soon.

Sounds like it's doing its job. Marines have enough trouble killing late-games lifeforms; this should help. Three marines with w2 rifles should be enough to keep an Onos in check, but it's easy to get away with charging into a room like that in public games. With the changes to boneshield, along with vampirism, Onos should still be able to remain a threat, but maybe now HMGs will teach them not to be so greedy.

No, you don't understand, Stark. This one guy and I chased two Onos's, being stupid as ♥♥♥♥ and reckless to boot. We not only got the two Onos's easy, but snagged a Fade and secured a strong position for victory from a position where the Aliens should have been fine. The HMG is too powerful. A good balance would be to lower the damage output by a third and maybe require a second command chair to buy it, like what was being done before with dual exos, all on top of the Jetpack fual expendature. And maybe reduce movement speed to reflect the weapons weight.
