How active is the playerbase of this game?
I have been eyeing this game for a while and I want to know if there are enough active players so that I don't buy it and end up with nobody to play with. As someone playing from Sweden, how common would it be to get in games with good latency and not too few players?

It has enough players to find at every hour a filled server. It might happen if it's very early in Europe that there is only an asian or NA server full. But during peak hours there is plenty of EU servers filled. The playerbase is fine to still find games on it. I hope you join the ns2 squad!

I'd say give the game a shot. I sometimes have to wait a few minutes to get a slot on a server, but everytime I come online there's usually at least a few servers going, usually more in the NA afternoon/evening.
