I wish I could vote neutral.

Its very cute and relaxed, the setting and graphics are great. I kinda enjoy it? I enjoy sorting and inventory management, I just wish there was more to the game.

But in the first 20 minutes you've seen everything this game has to offer. There is no progression, every new room opened work exactly the same. You sort based on what the package needs and if its improperly stored it becomes damaged... Which means nothing. You lose 2 XP points for a damaged package, while you earn several hundred or over a thousand point for just a single day. Which means all those unlocked rooms and sorting stamps are essentially also pointless, there's no real incentive to use them except for fun I guess.

The nighttime "magic" is very minimal, and the promised story and "narrative discovered through sorting parcel" is nonexistent. The entire story is a few lines from an NPC at the end of the game.

It's not exactly a bad game, but it is pretty shallow in terms of gameplay mechanics and I feel like the store page kinda tries to hype up some aspects of the game in a way that I think borders on being disingenuous.

I also wish it had more accessibility options because the game makes me quite motion sick, and that seems to have been true for quite a fair number of people. Beyond an FOV slider there are no real options that help. If you're prone to motion sickness definitely test out the demo before you buy.

TL;DR
Good overall, a fairly fun and relaxing experience, with virtually no punishment if you do something wrong. Repetitive without any meaningful changes in gameplay throughout the run. Every upgrade is just the same as before with a fresh coat of paint.

There are a few things I'd like to address. I had to take a whole lot of breaks because motion sickness is pretty bad in this game. Of course I'm not that surprised since you're constantly moving your character and your camera around, but it is worth noting if you get motion sick.

It is very, very repetitive. As you level up you unlock new destinations, rooms, and tools, but that's it, the gameplay loop stays the same. New destinations add more stickers and more sorting options, and the tools add an extra step before you can store or ship the parcels. To me they just add more friction rather than novelty or new toys to play around with, so there was little to no excitement at almost every unlock, save a few.

That said, I still recommend it (I'd give a neutral review if I could) because the Tetris-style puzzle section with the boat is fairly fun, the art is cute and the gameplay relaxing. It just takes a few hours to get over the initial learning curve of figuring out how to sort all the parcels.

Tip: I ended up not using the shelf tags at all and only sorting by shape, while adding extra stickers so the important information of every parcel was always facing me.

I really enjoyed sorting through the mails and making my own system around the mail room.
At first, it feels overwhelming and boxes seems to be piling high, especially when there's a limit to how many we can send out. Eventually, the game allows you to clear up those stacked boxes in no time.

The captain that picks up the package goes to randomized location and there has been many posts talking about how he doesn't go to one particular location. I myself don't have that problem, but I do notice an imbalance between which location he picks up. Since there are 6 locations to choose from, there'd be cases when the randomizer doesn't choose 1 or 2 of them for several days and boxes do get stacked.
However, the longer you play, the more space available in the boat so if you stack them well, you can clear 80% of the stacks.

There are 4 special rooms and stickers that mark where some boxes need to be kept or they will be "broken". You'll later unlock a repair room that can fix a maximum of 3 boxes per shift. If you wrongly delivered boxes, they'll get returned the next shift and all of the boxes will need to be repaired.
The only consequences when you give out a broken parcel is you get minus points. Points are what you need to "level up" which unlocks certain things.
However, there's a stack of mess you'll have clear out to access to some of the rooms.

It's a great game for you to lock in, sort, stamp, find, and pretend you're a great postcat. However, due to the lack of manual saving (at the time of the review), you'll have to wait for the game to autosave. The longer the game, the more customers you'll have to serve, so the longer the autosave will kick in.

There's some decorative stamps but I don't really use them as much since it adds nothing. While it's intended for a game to relax, I did end up rushing through by stamping the same ones.

I love the peaceful music, the sound effects when you pick up and place parcels in different rooms or when you're putting stamps on, or even the hum of the 4 special rooms (one of which reminds me of the Backroom).

Now that I've finished the game, the warehouse feels empty since it's getting "easier" to send out many packages at once (unless the location doesn't spawn for days). People have mentioned bugs, but I didn't encounter any. I did start a new save instead of continuing from my demo save.

You can continue to play endlessly but the journey as a postcat is over for me. Thanks for the ride.
