New version of the game is a mess

I've been playing the new version of the game, and it's so incredibly glitchy!
Every time I start a new game, I have to exit and restart because the gun doesn't work on the red squares.
There are places where the floating platforms never fall into place.
Sometimes I go through the walls or a level doesn't load correctly, and I get stuck; if I'm lucky, I can die and respawn in the world.
On the last level, when I activate a platform underneath me, there are two spots where the platforms goes up, but I fall through them and into the lava almost every time.
Even with everything on the lowest settings, the movement is extremely laggy, and I doubt I'll ever be able to get the speedrun achievement because of this and the other bugs. My computer should be able to run this game very easily with no lag or stutter on Windows 10.
The original game is great, but this new version just sucks for technical reasons.
Will these things get patched?

Indeed, I am shooting the gun and nothing helps, a big red flag is that the Dev doesn't even offer 1440p resolution! I'm refunding this right now, as there's a thread that says the game's unfinishable!
