They are already too fast, according to Das Boot (the book, page 44) max speed was 17,3 knots while surfaced, not 18.

It depends on the type of boat. VIIb can go like 17.9kt, and VIIC/42 can go at 18.6kt. (According to Wikipedia)

Why 20 kts? You are already much faster than the average convoy or single unit in the TDC/tracking training mission. It's close enough to be realistic.

Just paint it red!

Its not going to be the /42 because that was made in 1942, were in 1941.

Yes, i will suggest the boat we using is VIIb. 18.0 and 17.9 is a reasonable margin or error for me.

were the VIIC apprently not the C/41/42
Soviet submarine K-222 is 44.7 knots this sub should at least be half that
Valen Jun 13, 2019 @ 7:25am
Again, why? You are now comparing a nuclear attack submarine of decades later to a diesel (electric) submarine in WW2. Did they ever race eachother?

There is zero logic in your statement.

why settle for 20? ask for a hyperdrive.

Hyperdrive doesn't exist it's from a libtard show. Im sure one of the ww2 subs would have gone 20knots the power houses are not made identical and there are currents that could push it. To conclude change sub to 20knots please
