Antari Campaign....

Will there ever be one? Is anyone, besides me, intrested in it?
Personally, I would LOVE to have such a campaign added. And perhaps a bit of tweaking down Destroyer Ray while we at it....
What are your thoughts?

Antarian compaign wouldn't actually be any different than playing solarians, other than the disk like designs of the ships, the technology is more or less the same as the Solarian and Godan.

well if you would design specific missions to them then yes, it would be fun. by the way destroyer ray is not the strongest weapon, the ship manipulator is far superior

OP mentioned a campaign, not a scenario. obviously you are trying to help but it isn't the exact thing the OP wants.

However a scenario is the only way around it anyway.

Skirmish isn't a real scenario though. In a real scenario you can make a story, and decide how the races start out, add unused races, setup planets, and much more.

antari ships are faster than everyone else's and with are +2 speed with equivalent hyperdrive making them hard to catch
i'd like to see more campaigns with different races as well as more scenarios rather than a rehash of a brilliant but very old game still with the bugs i remember so well.

that extra speed actually means very little. there are 99 stars in a game, you can conquer a few worthless planets, but when it comes to taking out the powerhouse worlds you still got to approach them and fight anyway, if your enemy already knows you are coming with your fleet and theirs is already blocking the way, that speed means nothing as you still got to conquer it at some point.
