Screen is always black ? help

when i make a character my screen is black i get my hud and i can hear my character moving around. but the rest is all black

I make a character click create if I do the tutorial or not it goes to black screen with cursor and my Hud and then nothing else . Even if I dont do the tutorial it always goes to it.

Having lost input from changing the resolution, I think it's time for a refund

Sorry for this issue. Several people had the same issue, and one of these things always solved it:
1. Changing the fullscreen setting.
2. Changing resolution setting.
3. Changing the zoom setting.
4. If you are using multiple monitors, unplugging the second monitor worked for one person.

If one of those things solved this issue for you, please let us know, as it will help us with fixing this issue.

Could you provide us with some information that could help us prevent this issue for others?

Are you using one or multiple monitors? What are their resolutions?

im using two monitors
one monitor is 3840x2160
second monitor is 1366x768
maybe the problem could come from the fact my monitors have different resoutions i know some games dont do well with that

If you could try disconnect lower resolution monitor and check if the problem persists, that would be a great help to us. Also try different settings as Zakharn wrote. There could be a problem with your refresh rate if its set to some weird value, so you could also try setting Hz to different value.

the second monitor does seem to be causeing a problem but when i have it pulgged in i can get the game to work when messing with settings , once its not plugged in at all i dont have to change settings at all

None of the suggestions in this thread resolved the black screen for me.
I only have one monitor.
Changing Zoom, Resolution or Window Screen mode did not render the game.
Messing around with the other video options also did not help.

Could you post a screenshot of your in-game video settings?

Changing the zoom, then saving/exiting out of the options menu worked for me.

For these resolution settings you need Zoom x4 or higher.
