Similar Games?
I loved playing this game, and I want to try similar games.
I know this one is a bit more unique, as it has a lot of customisation.

Regardless, does anyone have any recommendations?

Are you looking for Terraria-like games?

Terraria, TModLoader, Starbound, Crea, Alchemage, Dig or die, It lurks below, Signs of life, Planet centauri ...

Sort of, but, more like a mix of Sandbox & RPGs.
Preferably with customisation options & settlement building, NPCs, etc.
I know, this is very niche. xD
--------------

Although Realms of Magic does not have settlement building with NPCs, it is close to it.

Alchemage & It Lurks Below seem cool anyway, I will try those. Thank you.
I did play the rest already, except 'Dig or Die', which seems too grindy from the trailer.

As for settlement, there are also top-down games, some have terraria-feeling too: Necesse, Keplerth, Mewnbase, Cryofall.. even Stardew Valley.

Check out Craft the worlds, maybe you will like lemmings-like game.

Because of tags the steam store page will suggest something totally different, e.g. colony sims, like Rimworld or open world survival game like Raft, Valheim, Astroneer,

You may even end up in Minecraft (or similar) game at some point ;)

My suggestion, ask google "X-like game", go through lists in result web-pages and see yourself.

Thank you! And, I have actually played all of the games you mentioned, except Astroneer & Cryofall. 😁 (Cryofall I think I tried, but not sure. Seems interesting so I will play it).

And you, you are right, the 'similar games' bit is almost never similar! They should really rework that system. 😁

As for Minecraft... I have been playing it since 2012, xD

Could give Valheim a try, though it's quite a bit lighter on the RPG elements. It has numerous weapon types, each with its own skill level, which attribute to both damage done and Stamina use reduction. Same skill level system also applies to running, jumping, and swimming.

Plenty of building, survival, exploration, etc.

However, it's also an EA game and the v1.0 release hasn't even happened yet (we're currently waiting on a major patch, heh), but it's still good.

Already played Valheim! xD
I am was actually one of the first 100 players to play it, in pre-Alpha. 😁
I did play the later versions too.

if its about the survival building stuff. in about 6 hours. farthest frontier ( early access yet tons of content already ) will release on steam.

medival settlement > town building game, with literly way too many mechanics.
its a bit like tropico merged with tower defense.
soil fertility, seasons, dirt and drinking water pollution, all kinds of sicknesses, economic balance, like over fishing lakes, ...
and yes you have to keep growing since your town will get atked and plundered

if the graphics arnt a problem then i suggest 9th dawn 3, looks weird but its surprisingly full of content. skill system is similar to runescape, do the skill to level the skill etc. has a pet catching system / companions / multiple citys + alot of dungeons to raid. honestly didnt pay attention to the story so i cant talk about that.

also, crystal project if your looking for more of a RPG / JRPG game, pretty difficult on higher difficulty's and the map is huge. hundreds of secrets / items to find, i put about 80 hours into my first playthrough. has a class system similar to the FF tactics games.

I have 1 billion games and look at the store almost everyday and somehow I have never heard of Planet Centauri. I took a look based on your recommendation and wow, that game looks like it's going to be awesome. Thanks for the gem my friend.

IMO Crea is most like this since both have RPG elements although Crea lacks the questing part.

Craft the world is like a cross between Dungeon keeper and Terraria I would say

I'd suggest checking out Din's Champion. I just picked that up myself, so I only have 5 hours in it so far, but it definitely scratches the same itch as RoM did for me. It literally just entered early access though, so there are bound to be bugs and features not implemented yet, but for anyone who enjoyed the exploration/mining aspect of RoM one can definitely spend a lot of hours on it already. :) You can recruit npcs to your town, but it seems like the town/community features aren't fully implemented yet though.
