I'm typically not one to complain about things like this, but I do agree here: the intensity could come up a bit and still be perfectly fine.
Maybe instead of just tweaking the current torch, add an upgrade at some point? Like a Bronze/Iron Torch, or perhaps even a Lantern?
The game is VERY dark. The darkness is annoying as hell. The night doesn't serve a single purpose as to only annoy. I often can't skip the night when I am suddenly catch by it in protected areas. 10+ times already happens when I went to a new location, that I forgot to sleep, so I am forced to go back to my base to sleep.
Why there are nights????
-- end of rant ---
Exploring dark dungeons in the darkness is fun for some time. But it will quickly become annoying. It's not just darkness, it's inability to distinguish blocks, hell, it's not even possible to see a pit fall in time.
Maybe brightness setting (gamma?) will help, I don't know, but this game is way too dark, that's for sure.
It might be from 2020, but it's still relevant.
I mean.. Dark Elves benefit greatly from night time and darkness in caves/dungeons.
I've stated before I tried on 3 different monitors and my monitors aren't dusty. I've messed with all the brightness settings. Me personally I'd rather them just remove the secret chests if it meant you can brighten the whole area up. It wouldn't even matter if we posted screen shots, you're just gonna sit there and say "WHAT!! I CAN SEE THE ENTIRE SCREEN U NOOB R U BLIND". Clearly for the rest of us, we can't see.
You find them by thinking, not by lighting them up.

In non-sandbox zones the dev has put torches all over the place. Why are you not lighting them?
You're so stuck in your own little world. "It's obviously a non issue" when so many people have complained about it being too dark. Even lighting torches it hardly does a thing. This is like arguing with a flat earth believer.
Sure... I ask for a screenshot showing that it is too dark and they post one with all the torches turned off.
LOL
If nobody is willing, or able to show what they are actually talking about, why would anyone who sees no issue at all while they play, think that there is actually an issue?
