Planet Centauri offers some unique features like transforming into various monsters, capturing them and use them as fighting pet, and creating your own spells from various settings (which will apparently get updated in the nearer future).
Furthermore its more of a mixed setting, fantasy and aliens/high-tech, which might not be for everyone.
Realms of Magic seems way more RPG-y than most other "terraria-esque" games, offering leveling up, skilling various stuff like weapon, magic or "basic attribute" stuff. It also offers way better character customisation, a better game world (having various small "worlds" basically to select from, on a big map), better farming (imho), and better quests.
Its setting is way more serious so far, and purely medieval/fantasy stuff from what ive seen, without aliens or guns or whatever.
If i had to choose one, it would probably be RoM, but as i said, both are great (albeit also both are unfinished)
