"OpenCL.dll is missing", except it's not

So apparently I'm unable to run the game because OpenCL.dll is missing from my computer.

So I searched for the file in question and lo and behold: https://i.gyazo.com/5a79eb47d6ce42ed963e500d8ac27c8a.png it's not missing at all. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and restarting my PC. Has anyone else got this problem?

Thank you for reporting it. Error message is displayed when LocationGenerator.dll can not be loaded, and to load this OpenCL.dll is required. LocationGenerator.dll should be in your game directory (RealmsOfMagic/RealmsOfMagic/Binaries/Win64) and from what you are saying OpenCL.dll is present in your system files, so it is unclear why it can not load.

Manwe, I had the same issue. Updating nvidea drivers fixed it for me. I sent an email on it too. What Im trying to say, and others said as well, that the file your game says is missing, isnt an issue with your game at all. Its because the update to windows, left out old dlls no longer used because they cause blue screen of death, but in doing so, they forgot to include the new nvidea drivers. The post I made with instructions and link fix this issue. Trying to fix a bug that isnt a bug is going to cause you more problems, especially when Microsoft corrects the issue themselves with another update. Id have joined your discord server to tell you this, but am dealing with an issue that prevents me from signing up at the moment. Once my backup is done, will try again. Full backup takes 5 days. This is because my main server is 30TB of information, and the new drives replacing them will total 90TB. The backup and cloneings is whats taking so much time, plus the drives have to be 100% exactly configured the way the old ones were, or nothing will work when im done. I have a lot of servers running off this machine. I hope to add yours one day when it goes multi-player.

Thanks Elmer. Can you do me a favor, and reply on this post so others know this as well? It would be appreciated. I did a lot of research for both graphic driver and antivirus isses caused by the update, and only Realms Of Magic isnt showing the fix sadly =(

What version of the Game do you play ( you can find that information at the left bottom corner of the main menu screen)? Also are you able to find OpenCL.dll in you system files ?

It happened to me a few weeks ago when Windows 10 upgraded to build 1709. I looked and saw the file was there, but for some reason it wasn't getting detected. Turned out, when the OS updated, it didn't bother to tell me it left out a bunch of drivers, which were needed to load OpenCL.dll. Once I tried Nvidea, and it updated the drivers for the newest OS release, everything ran fine again. Unfortunately, this fix seems to help only 80% of people getting the missing OpenCL.dll error. Manwe is working on the other issues causing this problem.
I forgot to mention. Many a games had issues after the update, but none of the games even said what they were, theyd just crash upon loading. Realms of Magic pointing out it was missing a graphics driver, made finding the fix so much easier.
