No coop = No buy
Launching a game today without multiplayer is really a bad decision, especially since it doesn't hinder the single player experience.

I would have several friends at the start who would buy immediately, but you're missing out on several customers this way.

If the few single players are enough for you, good luck.
After the 2nd patch, that's the end of new content.

We have also built the code around the game being single-player, so creating a co-op experience would require an entirely new skeleton of the game.

Well I guess you won't get to play the game then. Not everything needs to be multiplayer to be good. "Launching a game without multiplayer today is really a bad decision" It's amazing that you get to personally decide what is good for the gaming community based on the calendar year relative to revolutions around the sun in today's standards, there are plenty of amazing games coming out that are single player only. And some of the best games ever made that are single player only are still being played. I think Fortnite is probably more of your thing.

While i do agree that not every game needs multiplayer, this one definitely could work, back then we complained cause we usually get the same silly game mode like team death match/death match and nothing else, nothing creative in that regard. but coop it's different, not many games do it and it's way cooler that competitive versus mode.

I'm not broke and don't need every game to offer dozens of hours of content. Single player is fine

Any game that has single player only is often way better in game-play and such areas then those that desperately want to include multiplayer function despite the budget and manpower, this is especially true in the indie dev scene. Singleplayer only is no problem at all, ignore the gen Z cry babies like this OP with their entitlement issues and what not more..

Looking forward to Precinct! and good riddance to OP, adios!

Couldn't disagree more... I actually prefer single player games as do many others out there. Don't get me wrong co-op could be fun if added later but it's by no means essential.

If you look at the likes of "Line War" here on Steam then forcing multiplayer can actually cause you to lose out on potential players.

I don't especially like the tone of the title, but if developers look these posts as direct feedback, then there is value (if you grew up in 90s and early 2000s, it was hard to communicate with devs, let alone digital updates)

I see it as an opportunity, there isn't a true open world police sim game with coop so its a big void to fill, it would be tapping into a bigger market and content creators love playing with friends on top of it. If it doesn't take away from the main game, great.

Ok, so don't buy it. Jesus. You really think the developer will miss you? Plenty of other multiplayer/coop games to play.

We'll miss you terribly.
You are out of touch. Its a fact that most players play these types of games offline, that goes for RPG's too, even Arma 3. I could care less about online play as well. I prefer campaigns and stories. I get really tired of these "strong arming" crybaby posts.

You are so delusional if you really think that.
