Even handling is pretty good for a game like this.
Helicopter was real smooth to fly.
The vehicle won't move unless, you don't use push the stick to the front.
I think that makes smooth driving harder to achieve. After all this is personal opinion.
Only pushing the RT or LT won't accelerate/reverse the vehicle unless you're using the stick.
It's like you're have to push the steering wheel in a car to drive LOL.
But the driving feels really bad. I can't even get through the Chase in the Tutorial without crashing into every car, corner or wall. Had to stop the Demo right there.
There's like a 2s input delay on everything steering-related. The LB & RB work immediately without problem and the rest (Shooting the Robbers or walking to the Car) worked smoothly.
I also have a huge FPS drop from 100+ FPS to ~37 FPS the moment I hit "gas" on the Car.
I never had issues with controller mapping in steam games before. It also seems other people have those issues. :)
I can agree that the trigger options didn't get mentioned by the tutorial. I only discovered the triggers working for accelerate/break because i tend to push it naturally in a driving game LOL.
I use a Dual shock PS4 Controller. It also mapped the right icons for the PS controllers, so im pretty sure it was recognized by the game.
-------
THIS is p much the same issues i was facing!
If it's not intentional that both stick and trigger control schemes are active at the same time then there's a bug because both are. If it is intentional though that both are active and checked at the same time then that's a horrible decision. I was finding myself grinding to a halt on some turns and shooting off and crashing into things like I was driving on ice at others. I'm assuming it's not a bug since there wasn't a toggle option in the control menu to switch between stick/trigger/both (and that's all that's needed to fix it imo)
The chase in the demo wasn't fun at all imo and that was entirely down to the controls. I quit out of the demo at that point and decided I wasn't interested in the game when before it's sat on my wishlist for a while now with full intentions of buying it in the first week. I really do hope that it's looked at because I was quite enjoying the game up until that point.
