Full speed ahead in neon noir - is The Precinct the police simulation we've been waiting for?

I haven't had such an intense chase in a long time - as newly minted Officer Nick Cordell Jr., I raced through rain-soaked neon streets in The Precinct, pursuing a street thief and had to use roadblocks and nail strips to finally catch the guy! It feels like a love letter to 80s police films, but with its own cool noir touch. The procedurally generated crimes and the dynamic city really bring the game to life.

What I particularly love is the freedom in how you tackle the crimes: sometimes as a lone wolf, sometimes with your team, which provides reinforcements with helicopters and patrol cars. Sure, there are classic parking violations, but also epic shootouts and bank robberies.

The question I ask myself: Has anyone already developed a real strategy to influence the balance of power between the gangs in Averno? The city is so dynamic and I wonder if you should take a defensive or offensive approach to control it.
