Controller support needs a bit of work
Before anyone says it, i'm aware this is an early demo, i just want to share my feedback regardless

  • There's no deadzone and analog sensitivity setting. Whilst the joystick deadzones seem to be servicable, the deadzone for the analog triggers are definitely not. You can't even brake or gas softly which is really frustrating, especially with how wonky the vehicle controls are (they feel overly sensitive for some reason, where even a 50% joystick input feels like i'm hitting 100%).
  • "Jogging" completely messes up the foot controls. Once your character starts to "jog" (about 50% input) your controls for some reason turn into 4-way controls where you have to physically move your stick all the way in one direction for your character to turn, and if you want to make more smoother adjustments you have to move the camera itself. I understand this is a top down game but this input system just feels incredibly annoying to play with.
  • No holster / sheathe? Once i had my baton / gun out there doesn't seem to be a button to hide them again, with R3 being pulling my flashlight out instead

Apart from these nitpicks the demo itself was alright, even if it was really short. Really looking forward to how the game looks like later on in development

Since i've been playing the demo with my nacon controller, I absolutely have to aggree with your points in this regard. I really hope they can make it work before they release it because this is currently the only game i'm really excited about! May I copy your points?

Go ahead, I really hope they get addressed before launch cause they're the only negatives for me so far

Are the deadzone/jogging issues occuring on a specific controller?

I'm using a Dualshock 4 (Playstation 4) controller, connected via bluetooth and emulated via steam input, i don't have any other controllers than this
