The Precinct

Question about the length of the demo
I was wondering does this demo have a time limit before it ends or can I just keep playing it for as long as I want

there are just 3 training missions, you learn how to play the game and after that it ends.

So I'm pretty much just better off waiting until full release because that's not enough for me to really do

Its a demo and you get the idea of how the game develops and plays, you get to shoot try walking learn about the police handbook and drive & pilot. So yeah is barely 30min of fun to convince you if you like the game mechanics or not

20 minutes

once the pursuit starts do not arrest the chap when the van finally ends, when he surrenders shoot him, you fail the mission for excessive force, and it restarts at the start of the pursuit. just spent 4 hrs, pursuing the van all over the city. was quite impressed to see the van taking different routes everytime, proves its not a predictable ai.

I mean sure you're not wrong but three training missions and that's it, really? That's really not enough to really do anything I mean don't get me wrong I'm looking forward to the game cuz I'm going to buy it but I want more than 30 minutes.

To be honest I would be fine if it was the three training missions and then a little section of the city with the random callouts the game is supposed to have.

This is still a prealpha, it's quite possible that the random callouts aren't actually functional yet so just having a few training sessions lets them show scripted events that will *resemble* what the callouts will look like later on

But what I'm saying is like three missions 30 minutes like that's not enough time to enjoy the game, like I get it but also on the other hand it being scripted is it really random now is it I guess it's just a demo but like I'm just speaking logically.

At least let it be 2 hours of a demo instead of really half an hour because let's be honest I'm setting up a few random call outs wouldn't really be that hard but I digress I'm just going to be waiting for the full game because like I've said 30 minutes is not long enough for me to actually sit and enjoy the game because by the time the last 5 minutes of that half an hour is up then I'll be actually enjoying the game and then it ends and then I'll be wanting more so I'll just wait.

Maybe I'm slow, but I got a good hour out of that demo.

Then by that logic there's no time limit? Because from what other people have told me there is so is it more than three missions or did you just happen to take your time.

There's no time limit as such, no. You can avoid finishing the missions themselves and just drive/walk around looking at stuff, but unfortunately you can't really do much of anything to interact with the world beyond shooting out tires during the first mission.

You can replay the tutorial missions as many times as you like.

So if there is no time limit technically but yet I can't really play the game then what's the point because you say as long as I don't finish the missions it doesn't end but what's the fun in that I know you know that really playing the game now is it I'll just wait for full release and then I'll play the game.

bro, you're overthinking this way too hard. By the time you spent thinking about it you could have played the demo 20 times over.

It's a neat little preview of the game, gives an idea of how it's gonna feel. Just play it

You can play for as long you like. Only times thing is the bank robbery, else you can explore the whole city.
