Stuck at loading after pressing 'new game'.

As the title says, game wouldn't load. Left it long enough to make a coffee and sandwich and was still loading when I got back.

Same. The emergency light beacon is still turning/still loading after 5 minutes. Tried again with lower settings without improvement.

Edit: it took 8 minutes to load. I'm playing now.

Load time is brutal, I'm sure that can be sorted out, just good to know it's not just me.

Don't blame the game, it's your PC's. I've just tested the load time.

From clicking the icon on the desktop to playing the game took 33 seconds...

Not defending the developer but a few things should be sorted out

I quit after 5 minutes loading the game, but I installed it on a HDD thinking it was a lower demanding game.
Transfered it to a SSD, loaded a new game in less than 10 seconds.

The main issue that I noticed was not being on the HDD, while it was trying to load the game and checking the task manager, the game was doing nothing, no CPU or GPU load and no disk usage.

So yes there is an issue going on, but why it was not loading on HDD at all is the main issue. Eventually it could have started while on HDD, but taking minutes to load is not normal.

Same here, I did Alt+F4 and booted up the game again, loading was fast (installed on a HDD)

I install on a SSD and loaded up in 5 seconds. Install on a HDD, never loaded up.
