There's so many mods and modders and I'm curious as to who the best modder is.

Yes, going to very much differ on opinions there. For me personally it'd be Enaisiaion:

Perk overhauls (Ordinator probably the most well known Enai mod although I prefer the more lightweight Vokrii, same author), combat overhauls, magic overhauls, and a lot of other "Vanilla+" type mods.

Survival gameplay my biggest mod, morphing any 3 NPC's into companions with a story to do with the daedra and the divine, a skirmish mod that earns you rewards for unlocking outfits, and... a wardrobe manager.

Do it a couple times.
Then start from scratch.

Agree, Enai is the best modder on Nexus IMO. I would literally not be playing Skyrim without his mods.

If we are talking about the most widely used mod in Skyrim SSE? Arthmoor for USSEP, and schlangster who made SkyUI 5, of course more mod authors who made the game moddable to what it is now with their frameworks, libraries and of course bug fixes, those two authors usernames just popped into memory as I was typing this.

If we were adding to a list of modders whose works are invaluable to later mod authors, I would add CEO, Ashal, Vector Plexus and B3lisari0 to that list.

There is no one "best" modder that rules them all.

First you need to decide what you're looking for in a mod. Then others can suggest particular mods for that. Someone with multiple mods may be great at some but not so at others, especially if they are drastically different genres of mods.

So there no overall "best". May come down to "best" for what kind of mod you're looking for. And don't forget that between mods one may be better at quality but another could be a better fit for what you're wanting out of it.

Sorry your question is too wide open to give you a solid answer. You must narrow down the parameters on what you're looking for. Assuming this thread wasn't created to get people arguing about who is "best".

Any modder that keeps up with their mods and update them if necessary is the best modder, imo.
