Cloud syncing won't sync with Skyrim AE

Built a new PC, had the same problem with other games, but was solved when I deleted and re-downloaded them. Obviously I wouldn't be making this post if this was still the case with Skyrim AE version, which I just purchased prior to the issues I'm having now.

Is there a problem with AE and cloud sync?
I'm going to try again and see if it helps. Though, I've done so twice already.

Best not use cloud storage for Bethesda games seen too many topics with problems related the cloud storage.

go to folder
...\steam\logs
look in cloud_log.txt and see what steam is doing/not doing with your saves
lines with AppID 489830 are about this game

looks like I have some baked files in the My games folder. Probably from when i last modded the game. Won't let me just delete them.
Error code 0x80070091 directory is not empty.

shutdown steam.
go to folder
Documents\My Games
rename folder Skyrim Special Edition to SkyrimOLD or something else
create a new folder Skyrim Special Edition
start steam . should be no cloud errors with the new empty folder.
all your old saves, baked saves etc are in that old folder

It worked. Now just gotta figure out how to delete the Old one to keep things clean.
