my Vortex won't install new mods for Skyrim or other games

when ever I tired to install a new mod for Skyrim I would get a message that reads "Download failed". At first when I thought this was just Skyrim but when I went to download mods for my other games I keep getting the same message. How do I fix this?

Is there anything else? Perhaps a more detailed error message?

Then, check if Vortex is logged in.

You may not be logged into Nexus to allow Vortex to down load.

did you follow other's suggestions? It is possible you got logged out as Nexus is doing it from time to time.
