Pfuscher 202X textures and TerrainParallax issue
When I enable "TerrainParallax" OR "ComplexTerrainParallax", the textures in this mod break. They become very spiky; I will post screenshots

Other mods are recommended to fix issues with Parallax, for example "Auto Parallax" and "Skyrim Terrain Parallax", however these arent helping.

It seems like other people are setting these values to 'true' without issue, so im wondering what Im doing wrong.

Thanks

That effect is due to the ENB binary being used with parallax in version 1.6+ of SSE. If you revert to an ENB Binary before v0.462 and turn off terrain parallax in the ENBSeries.INI there should be no problem at all - OR you can first just try turning off terrain parallax in the ENBSeries.INI, to see if that fixes it without rolling back to a previous binary.

Firstly, thank you for the response. If possible, I would not like to turn off the parallax. There is an additional mod im using; "Vivid Landscape - Complex Parallax Snow" and it looks beyond incredible. Turning it off (setting these values to false) makes the problem go away, but obviously it doesnt looks as good.

Conflicts with the enb / game version, i dont really understand. Ill change the version of either, if it means i can keep the Parallax=true

Right now, im going to check out "The Omnibus" i think those textures are Parallax friendly

Here are some screenshots between False vs True:

This is the "Vivid Landscapes - Complex Parallax Snow", and as you can see it looks incredible with these values set to 'true'

However, this is what the beach right next to it looks like:

Update: Using "The Omnibus" texture pack overriding 202X has solved this issue for me. Seems to me like the issue is with the 202X mod.

"Auto Parallax" as far as I understand it, should have solved this issue for me. If I understand correctly, "Auto Parallax" is supposed to turn off Parallax for textures without height maps, or something. Seems like a Parallax issue with a texture should have been fixed by this.

But the reality is I have no idea what im doing. Im learning minute by minute.

Glad you got the issue taken care of - and where you wrote "I'm learning minute by minute' - that's the most important thing! And it is something all of us went through.

Good luck and enjoy!

Gotta tell you man, I've started to mod my skyrim 1 month ago and I'm a pure noob in this things but man this fixed all my headaches, now I can play skyrim with 202X mod and the parallax doesn't break. I've had this problem for a week til now. Thank you so much man

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
