Either his soul was devoured by Alduin (if you delayed around before entering), or he is on his way to "Great Harrowing." He took upon himself to free unwilling werewolves from Hircine's hunting grounds.

If his soul wasn't devoured, he probably decided that this is a good time as any to start his quest in afterlife.

I lol'd.

tbh I never considered to re-visit the hall after the battle. I thought it would be the same as before ...

what do you mean delayed before entering?

The game hasn't arranged anything for Kodlak after Alduin is defeated. Since the hall is closed after defeating Alduin, there was no need to place Kodlak in the hall.

There is in fact a chance for Kodlak to get "killed" by Alduin, if you delayed going in to halls.

I honestly liked lore-based answer better. He's gone of to do what he promised to do.
But, yours is probably the correct answer. :RoflOwlcat:

Me too, but this is fact! This just needs a small mod to correct the issue! But noone will see the difference!
