How to close the game?

There are no exit button in the game.Also Alt F4 is no use.
I have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to force to close it.

Hit Escape, go to the 'System' tab, scroll down the options to 'Quit'.

Bethesda was thinking of its less bright players so they would not accidentally hit quit, so they designed it so you have to really want to quit.

Less bright players sounds like the fast majority of ppl these days.

It’s the same menu you use to save, load, adjust in-game settings, access the MCM menu (if you use mods and mods w/MCM), etc - it’s at the very bottom of the list.

alt f4 works fine and its faster. quicksave button, alt-f4, done. Just be sure it finished saving.

The menu got adjusted when they added the Mod section (or whatever it was, can't remember). It pushed Quit off the bottom, and they didn't bother to add a scroll bar graphic to indicate there were more options there.
