Hair Physics...
Looking for some insight/advice regarding hair physics...

Am I missing something or is hair physics just...not great? It's like my character is underwater or has tentacles for hair half the time. I'll move to the right and for most long hair styles it'll like...stretch a bit and "follow" me. Are there settings I can adjust to make hair actually move like...well...hair? Or is whats available the best we got?

realistic hair physics is still pretty much impossible even today, ponytail work pretty well but any longer length of "free" hair and it will get weird fast, collision is a hurdle too because it get glitchy with brand of hair getting stuck

I just feel like all these existing hair physics mods overdo it.

Like the creators intentionally exaggerate it so it feels worth it and will make you go “wow! Physics!!” rather than creating something more realistic.

Hair doesn’t really move that much unless acted on by an external force or the person’s body changes it’s orientation (leaning forward, being knocked back, quickly turning their head, laying down, etc).

And even then it may not move that much or at all depending on length and whether or not it’s tied, braided, clipped, or loose.

I don’t know, I was hoping that maybe I would be informed of a more realistic hair physics mod out there or some way to adjust the existing mods.

Maybe the novelty of hair physics in Skyrim has just worn off for me and I want to save some frames and go back to non-physics hairs.

I think what originally drew me to using them all those years ago was my pet peeve of hair clipping through armor/weapons.
