How TF do you sell official creations and still disable achievements
I mean I have them all and you can mod to get them back, but Jesus Christ is that dumb.

First time buying anything from Creation Club because I got free credits from Starfield. The Arquebus and the Dragon Reskins. Bethesda in one swoop just guaranteed I will never buy anything from the Creation Club again for future games.

Creation Club items do not disable Achievements yet Creation do. Yes, the naming for both is so similar as to be misleading.

Yeah it's dumb. How can you verify community creations to sell and still disable achievements. If I spent money on the creation and Bethesda officially recognizes and recommends them then the player should not be punished for using them by disabling achievements.

I don't care for achievement myself but gameplay and fun.
Perfectionist is a pain.

That is the common mistake right there. Only Creation Club content is properly curated and published by BGS. Other creations are just mods; they are advertised, but not in any way official content or recommended by developers.

BGS keeps confusing things with their naming schemes.

Problem is Bethesda doesn't given buyers any way of distinguishing between the old curated work and the new achievement disabling work.... in fact they even say some of the new stuff is curated, despite it disabling achievements, or so people have stated in other threads.

Only advice I can give is go to the wikis get a list of the AE mods.
Anything not on that list will disable achievements.

Way to completely miss the point.

Yep. BGS isn't making this easy for those who care about achievements.

no, he got the point re: CC/CCC, so the interchangeable use of "Creation" naming is confusing, who cares? he's saying you can whine about things you have no control over, or, hey here's a solution.

you know, for that matter, with one console command, you can 100% the game too, and never care about stupid achievements ever again for this particular title, and get back to playing and not caring.

if you really need to see those pop-ups, see a psychiatrist.

while we all know what it's like to feel frustrated at bethesda, many of us would never buy any mods from CC portal, so I don't know who you're threatening with your "I'll never buy" as beth/ms don't read steam discussions... some of us would not redeem those free ones, or even create a beth.net account for any reason... well, did you at least spend your credits wisely and get exclusive CCC-only mission mods you'll use, or just stupid stuff like textures you could have gotten off nexus?

I ask because it would be really funny if this whole thing was avoidable.

Bethesda marketing seems to make a priority of creating confusion when technical precision is called for. The biggest case in point was BGS using "Anniversary Edition" interchangeably for Special Edition 1.6+ and Special Edition 1.6+ plus the Anniversary Upgrade. The modding community has been wading through that marketing-inflicted morass for years now.

Way to also completely miss the point

I even said in my OP that yes I know you can mod to get achievements back and I have all the achievements so in this instance it doesn't affect me.

The problem is Bethesda is featuring these creations for people to buy, but then turning around and punishing you for buying them.

But my guy get off your high horse. Just because you don't care about achievements doesn't mean other people don't. I'm not crying in the forum I'm pointing out how dumb the system is. You are not nearly as witty and smart as you think you are considering you ignored or just didn't comprehend the whole point.

I may have not made my point.
They are selling mods with the curated tag, several people on other threads have said this....
They have made it confusing as to what disables achievements and what does not.

The only way I know of is to check what is in AE, and to assume everything else disables achievements... which is me repeating myself | know.

Yeah and it's just dumb. Which is what I'm saying. I may not be affected by it right now, but the fact that this is how they are treating the paid curations means I won't be using them in the future. No I myself may not make a difference, but I can still call it out for being dumb. Which apparently the other person takes as me crying.

not really changing the main orignal game= cheating even if mods hence no achievements thus even if you cheat to get achievements you didnt earn them plain and simple also not to be toxic but if your tilted over something so easy simple and small then this and prolly other games are not for you . sad . but true
