It just doesn't make sense- unless you plan of having a build that can 'bludgeon' dragons to death...seems to me to be more poor thinking, or cosmetic BS, than ANY kind of incentive to seek out and posses the Skyrim version of the gauntlets...oi..i regret even GOING on the quest as a waste of time...
Increased carrying capacity would simply just be increased stamina in Skyrim, which there's already dozens of things that do that, while there's only one item in the base game that increases unarmed damage.
Do I tell you about the Fortify carry Enchanment?
Or the STEED stone?
Or point out that there are mods that add carrying capacity?
Or point out how to dump the nasty heavy low profit loot?
Boots of the Apostle- ONLY means of 'perma-levitating' in Morrowind- but ALSO held an AC rating equal to heavy armor (at least if your light armor skill was leveled up)- do we have something like this in Skyrim--maybe, but I haven't found it yet. Would certainly be nice to take on those pesky dragons that keep flying up to mountain tops after attacking me...
MAKE the items WORTH seeking out- by having qualities or characteristics that are NOT (or not easily) duplicated anywhere else in the game- have NPCS seek you out or even attempt to TAKE them from you, as they could or ARE valuable to ANY other character in the game. THAT is how I would define or expect 'relics/artifacts' in this game
Staff of Magnus is a GOOD example of underwhelming- this is a duplicateable ability, and YET, ONLY this staff will suffice for the mage guild quest line- WHY? It would have been FAR more entertaining to say, have bubbles blow from your enemies mouths (or butts?) WHILE you drained their magicka.
Auriel bow- have a 'sunflare' effect or spell flash from the bow every time you fire an arrow from it...nope, but supposedly you can 'shoot down' the sun.
Ebony mail MIGHT be another exception- but there is a bug whereby even your ALLIES seem to take damage, and they turn against you eventually- so maybe that's a double qualifier- is unique, works well (perma)- but appears to be cursed- (causes damage to allies)..stuff like that..
Yeah lol.
This stuff began with oblivion, there's no notable artifacts in oblivion that even come close to the morrowind artifacts. The games were heavily "balanced" so nothing could be "game breaking"
