Also a LOT of good game music out there all NOT made by JS
In the case of the harassment/assault/rape stuff, the statistics are pretty clear that the vast majority of accusations / reports that are actually made, did happen.
It should also be noted that while they may be used interchangeably, 'not guilty' and 'innocent' are legally distinct and don't mean the same thing.
^ Honestly, Bethesda seem to have been on a fairly steady decline in quality. My expectations for TES 6 are very low at this point.
I like the guy's music, but it certainly wouldn't be something I'd boycott over, and frankly his cult-like following (is always right, can do no wrong etc.) by some people is pretty damn weird.
Which is just industry standard, Howard Shore isn't suing the LOTR concerts done by orchestra on tour.
But if you believe in the law, stay off social media and wait for a court decision and stop reading crap you know nothing about, it's he-said/she-said until there's a verdict. Ra*e is a serious fscked up thing and I already don't like the guy from the implication, but I'll leave it to court system and not insta and not Bethesda... the latter knows the implications of exactly what would happen if, after being found guilty, they used him anyway. But I doubt they would, he's adversarial and litigious. that doesn't endear you to your company to put you on flagship projects.
Bethesda may be many things, but they know how to make money, and that would be opening your wallet upside down and shaking it. I doubt they'd notice your -$70usd for not buying it w/o JS being attached to the project, though.
You know you could just go to google for like 5 seconds and find numerous government and university sources from all over the world, yeah?
So the OP is basically saying, if you don't retain a rapist I'm not buying your game? And it's the guy who did the music that I turned off after the first hour all those years ago? Dang.
An alleged one, but yes.
Even disregarding those accusations, he'd already indicated that he wouldn't be involved long before the allegations were made public, has had other issues with Bethesda, and was seemingly replaced by Inon Zur.
Additionally, he's known in the industry to be a bit of pain in the ass to work with in general.
