You need several other mods to make it work right.
XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE
1 of the below mods.
CBPC - Physics with Collisions for SSE and VR
FSMP - Faster HDT-SMP
And:
Fores New Idles in Skyrim SE - FNIS SE
All 4 of the above need SKSE64 to make CBBE work as it should.
Plus Bodyslide to build the body and clothes you want to use in game.
And all of the above need even more mods before you can use them.
I currently have things set to
Outfits: CBBE Body
Preset: CBBE Seven Base
I'm thinking if the physics are wonkie you have a true physics mod installed maybe for hair like SMP-HDT. I'm only guessing with the info you provided.
Posting your load-order would be helpful here.
SeveNBase Installation(READ THIS CAREFULLY!!):
Step 1:
If you haven't already installed an UNP skin texture set, do this now.
Step 2:
Install the SeveNBase body of your choice(you can do this with the Modmanager or manually)
Step 3:
Install XP32's Maximum skeleton which is BBP AND TBBP compatible.
Step 4:
If you are using FNIS you will have to run GenerateFNISforUsers.
Step 5:
Have fun!

Another issue I've noticed, all the female boobs go flat when sitting down or when doing something like smiting or cooking. It's about as unsightly as looking at Ai generated faces and hands. I just sat down at the Bannered Mare and every female sitting including my pc had the dreaded flat as a board chest.
SKSE is a one time install and since we are way outside the last update you should not have any issues with SKSE at current. If you use Vortex it will install it for you. MO2 you are still doing a manual install. If you want help, I'll link a guide for your mod manager of choice.
I guess I have to use SKSE at this point, because of how the mods are connected with each other.
... Now I want pancakes, I blame you.
I'm just teasing you though. I know what you meant.
I think a better analogy would be that modding is like a woven tapestry. It's so woven and interconnected in such a way that if you pulled it out at this point, it will ruin the whole tapestry.
This is why I get upset when Bethesda throws us another curve ball, with another update. I just got tired of fussing with SKSE. I thought that if I got rid of it and the mods that depended on it, that I could go back to how I had things before and not have to worry about updates. Just log in and get back to playing Skyrim.
Anyways, I want to thank everyone for your timely and friendly responses.
