What is the best book in Skyrim?

Malyn Varen's Grimoire.

One of the biggest books in the game, unique print and..... it's like 1 page long. I always get a chuckle out of it when i open it, like why is it so short, did they forget to add anything?

Well it's not really a journal, it's closer to a tome. I think what you can read was something he put in it like you can sometimes find in the really old school books.

I imagine the game assumes the player doesn't have knowledge of dark sorcery so whatever is actually in that grimoire we cannot read.

I also love books like Magic from the Sky by Irlav Jarol
As it reminds me of characters and quests from Oblivion and the details of Welkend and Varla stones that no longer exist in Skyrim but gave so much depth to Oblivion at the time.

AE Adds them, Flawed Varla Stones are Grand Sould Gems and Welkynd stones completely refill your magicka.
