Unrelenting force shout is not knocking away targets
As the title says my unrelenting force is not giving me the knock away effect against live targets for some reason. If the shout manages to kill then the knock away will occur but if not they are completely unaffected bar the health damage. Could it have something to do with xp32 skeleton? I uninstalled all my shout mods to test the vanilla version but still no knock away. Any idea what could be causing this and a possible fix. I also have my fps uncapped as well if that has any effect on it.

I tried to see if knock away is isolated to unrelenting force by going werewolf and using the power attacks. Turns out that its not isolated and happens to anyting that has a knock away effect.

SOLVED; Poise and Stagger Overhaul was the cause of the issue. It replaced the vanilla stagger mechanic and by extension the knock away mechanic.

Do you have all 3 words to the Shout and more importantly are you holding down the shout key long enough for all 3 words to be "said" or is an enemy interrupting you?

Yes I have all three words and I do hold down the button and my pc says all three words but still no knock away happens. Even the werewolf power attacks are not knocking away npcs.

Very well might be your FPS being uncapped. I'd try capping it to no more than 60 and see if that changes anything.

Before I cap my fps could it possibly be ordinator that's doing this. There are some perks that seem tied to knock away attacks only knocking away when target is 25% health and by then they'd die and the effect goes through.

Might be, don't know. I use Vokrii and not Ordinator. Could try a test without ordinator or ask on the Ordinator Nexus forum, unless someone does respond here.

If you do not have your FPS capped at 60, there is really nothing that can be done to help, as uncapping it results in so many issues that when it is uncapped, the person doing it is doing so at their own risk and is on their own, as over 60 is outside of the game's design parameters.

That aside, it may be a mod (definitely not XP32 skeleton, nor a pure animation mod), but if so, it is not one which I am familiar with. Also, if you wish to test as to mod conflicts, you must test on a vanilla save - as you cannot remove a mod and test on a save in which the mod was installed, as data is baked into the save. To test, follow this general outline:

Good luck!

Good luck!

I create a new character when removing mods and I capped my fps at 60 and removed ordinator and I am still having the same issue. My game also runs very stable uncapped with no physics problem I am aware of or seen so it hasn't been an issue. I just can't figure out why npcs are not getting knocked away. I used unrelenting force on movable objects like pots and they go flying like they should both capped and uncapped its just live npcs that don't.

sounds of skyrim mod? do you have it?

link is a problem someone else had sorda similar to yours.

his unrelenting shout would stagger enemies then 6 seconds later the enemies would then fly backward.

according to this person. the mod that was causing this issue was soundsof skyrim mod.

do you have that mod? if so try uninstalling that particular mod and see if the problem still occurs.

Well found the problem. Turns out it was a mod called poise and stagger overhaul which is a combat mod that removes the vanilla stagger mechanic and replaces it with its own. Apparently the mod also messes with the knock away mechanic by extension I guess. My unrelenting force works now in all its knock away glory,
