Thieves Guild Glitch Snow Veil Sanctum
I encountered a bug where Mercer will not unlock the door to the Snow Veil Sanctum and you cannot pick the lock. I fast traveled to a town and then fast traveled back but nothing got Mercer to go down the steps and unlock the door. After getting frustrated, I began using shouts on him. I used the FUS RO DAH one to fling him down the steps toward the locked door. He got up and unlocked the door. *shrug* :steamfacepalm:

see? ppl are wrong, sometimes shouting does help....

it is likely he's unable to find his path to the door. A navmesh issue. The patfinding program has only been able to bring him nearby.

You could also try to open the door yourself if Mercer is down the stairs. It should then get him to go to the door and open it.

The problem was Mercer wouldn't go down the stairs. He stopped midway, every single time. Nothing worked until I shouted him right next to the door. Once on his feet, he got to work on opening the locked door.
