skyrim no translation into portuguese , translation pt-br , generates the missing name bug
I took everything from the character, except 2 keys and a sheet of paper that was the kajids' mission and I still have 5 extra kilos?

Now I find out that I have 2 steel daggers, with this bug.

1) not a bug, there's a hidden character inventory, for their base weapon, bow, iron arrows (that will accumulate up to about 5000), etc... it's usually only a few units, unless you're in survival mode where it gets very annoying, if you want to see what you still carry even though your inventory seems empty, use the console, 'player.inv' to list it, and 'player.removeitem <ItemID> <amount>' to remove them. you also don't need to drop everything on the ground, walk up to any empty chest, tag it to get it's refID, and instead do 'player.removeallitems <RefID_of_the_chest>' and you'll get your expected 0 weight.

2) not a bug, you're using mods and your load order is probably incorrect, and your game is not set to English... this is very common, as many mods only support English, so the strings files for other languages are blank, so you see <MISSING NAME> and not <NOME AUSENTE> or whatever proper Portuguese is. but mods definitely complicate this, and there's also missing strings for things in vanilla resources too, a lot from Update.esm file... easily fixed if you want it fixed, either renaming the object at the enchant table, or firing up xEdit/CK... most just ignore it. the stats are still good, it's just the name.
I changed the translation for another translation and it solved the bug, there are many translations that are crap ! instead of helping they create bugs .
true. the only solution is when others ask, which Portuguese language mod should I use? tell them about this issue, til the "good one" becomes the only one! :-)

glad you got it working, Divertir-se!

Unfortunately, the errors persist and are causing problems in the game. There is no way not to criticize the last update, which came out in 2022, and to this day the guys have not made a decent translation. I regret having bought this game.

I'm going to play Fallout 4, it's running well and with zero problems !

skyrim is trash !
yeah I agree, we love it in spite of it's issues, many of which you can fix, but not everyone wants to bother, we do understand that sentiment. it's like enjoying a bad movie because it's bad, in a way.

I mean Português is a top 10 spoken and written language, you'd think for a game designed for global distribution you might, you know, want to include those possible customers and not depend on fan translations, but I'm guessing it's economics not the lingua that's the problem; Brazil, Argentina, Turkey, etc. can't help their currency rate doesn't play well on the world stage, and a gamer in non-western nation has no control over this anyway... global economics suck, and when profit is a company's only motivation... they just don't consider it as worth their effort. :steamsad:

enjoy murdering supermutants, vault dweller! maybe one day you'll come back to it and patch it up and make it work, who knows? :-)

Just one correction there, Portuguese is the 5th most spoken language and the 6th native language and is secondary,

total population of poland : 37 million has subtitles and dubbing in Polish ok !

Brazil's population is over 200 million : no have !

Let's say that in the worst case comparison 1/4, which is 50 million, plays games, a market of 50 million with the most diverse tastes, and more than the entire population of Poland and a third more , For the Poles it is available and for us it isn't? It's difficult that way.
