Need some help with a new laptop
My old laptop is beginning to have some issues, so I bought a new laptop a few days ago.

In my previous laptop, I installed Steam, Vortex, and Skyrim SE and Starfield onto my D drive.

I specifically did this because I thought that this would make things very simple when I needed to swap over to a new laptop.

I installed my old D drive into my new computer. It recognizes the D drive and I can see everything in there.

I also moved the "my games" from my old computer and copied it into my documents folder in my new computer.

I also noticed that there was a steam folder on my old computer on the C drive. I did my best to copy all of those folders and files.

My hope was that I would be able to seemlessly transition. I have about 700 mods, and 32 50th level characters from that older computer. I'm a little concerned right now that I'm going to lose my configurations and saves. It took my moths to recover from my last latop change.

Can anyone walk me through the easiest process of switching over? I'd be willing to renew my EaseUS partition manager software to copy partitions over to my new hard drive.

I'm considering moving my D drive back to the other computer right now. The laptop isn't completely dead, yet.

My old Mod Staging Folder was D:Vortex Mods/Skyrim SE.

When I enter this into Vortex to set as my Mod Staging Area, it gives me a warning.

It's says the following:

"This is an existing staging folder for a different Vortex instance. If you're using Vortex in "shared" and "regular" mode, do NOT use the same staging folder for both! If you continue, your current mods will be merged into that staging and this instance will take over the staging folder. There is NO "undo" for this! Please continue only if you're absolutely certain."

What should I do? I really don't want to have to reinstall EVERYTHING. I'd probably sooner move on from Skyrim if that is what I have to do.
