Creation Club content worth recommending?
Hello fellow Dragonborns.

I am now playing Skyrim (yet again), but this time on PC with around 80 mods from Nexus mods.

Is there any creation club content (with zero to minimum bugs) you think its really worth recommending? Both free and paid.
I am mainly interested in things like quests, locations & player homes; but can be also armours & weapons if they are really good. No lewd stuff please :)

Only Creation Club items I have are the basic few that now always come with Skyrim SE, like fishing etc.

I've got all quality of live improvements that I need for now. Patches, next gen light, improved models, textures and so on are not needed as well.

Thanks a lot for any suggestions.

Anything CC has you can add by mods. But if anything I'd recommend apart from free stuff is farming. You can acquire a cozy little farm right next to Rorikstead for free after a short quest, and have passive income and alchemy/cooking ingredients collected for you. It's in quite a nice, picturesque location. Only issue is getting there if you play survival or no fast travel in general. As hired carts don't seem to go there, and there isn't one on the spot. So it's a bit of a run from Whiterun and back.

I’ve heard good things about the Tale of Blood and Snow one.

From what I know of it it adds a lengthy questline involving two of the other vampire clans of Skyrim (spoken of in lore) besides Volkihar and involves you getting mixed up in their war with each other.

As a vampire you can side with one or the other clan, or you can side with the Vigilants of Stendarr and try to take them both out.

Comes with numerous main and side quests, voiced dialogue, 10 new dungeons, and a slew of new weapons/armor/jewelry/spells/enchantments.

I’m gonna grab it and try it out on my next playthrough.

Other than that, I know some people liked the East Empire and Bard College Expansions.
The AE bundle is worth it, in my opinion, but anything after AE (ie quite a lot of the stuff on Creation club now) are just regular mods, and have to be compared to what is on Nexus and other sites (and Nexus and other sites have SKSE64 compatable mods which are superior)

Cheers for all your replies so far.

Thanks, will check it out.

As above, will look into it. I've read that the size of it could already make this mod a dlc.

I have seen the list of AE content added from creation club to base game. There is plenty of stuff. 74 mods as far as I checked. Seems like a good value for money instead of buying the digital currency.
Still, I was discouraged of AE version due to large number of negative reviews, not only on Steam. It was also the fact that people mentioned that AE broke many mods, while SE was still the version which was the best for external (non creation club) modding.

Will definitely reconsider it, but likely in the next play-through. Wouldn't want to break my game stability at this point as I have experienced zero crashes so far with my 80 mods.
Just could use few extra lore friendly quests, location and maybe player homes.

Coven of Crones also looks rather interesting.

Adds in a questline that plays off the rather unused bit about Anise being a witch and looking to bring her coven to Riverwood. Looks like it takes you to a spooky swampy/forested Solstheim-sized island in the Sea of Ghosts where you hunt down her coven, stop their evil witchy-plans, and take out a much more powerful Anise.

Looks/sounds cool, I may grab this one as well for my next run. Not sure how it interacts with the vanilla game though because you can kill Anise at any time and also pretty sure she’s one of your targets during the Dark Brotherhood questline.

AE didn't/doesn't break mods, it was the game version update that enabled AE that broke mods. AE is just DLC. Since that time most mods worth having have been updated to work with the current game version. If you're already playing the up to date version of SE then buying AE will not change your game version and shouldn't break any mods you're already using.

The content of AE is a mixed bag. Some of it is overpowered gear and spells that are really easy to get. Some of it is just a bit of fluff. There are a couple of actually good quests. If i knew then what I know now I'm not sure I would have bought it.

I'd say the ones from anniversary edition are worth it the others I have not played but I have played Anniversary Edition packs and I think it is worth it it adds weapons and armour from oblivion and morrowind and also adds goblins from oblivion and nix hounds from morrowind into skyrim it also adds new locations and areas including daedric realms it also adds player homes aswell and one player home I think is a pirate base in an island you go to on a boat.

Yeah, I have read about it prior to making my post. Looked through Reddit and the opinions were mixed going towards favourable. Official gaming sites always praise different stuff just to up-sell any content for bigger game devs. That is why I was hesitant on this one.

Thanks for clarification, good to know its safe to install without making your game a mess. I have seen that both AE and SE have same versions so I assumed that it was the integrated content of AE that was making troubles for the modded games.

I encountered nix hounds in SE version so I am assuming this might have been the update that added them to the games or one of 4 creative club mods that come with SE now. Might reconsider AE upgrade when its on sale.

Thanks again for all replies.
