Its like a longsword ? maybe a greatsword... im not sure.
Well, that's a dai-katana, which is different. In this case it would be a great-sword.
Ive never used one in skyrim , thats good to know..
And thanks for letting me know.
Well, there is in the base game, I do not know if Requim did away with them or not. They are not called Katana's though. They are Blades Sword or the Akaviri Sword, and a few Unique ones, there are no two-handed ones however.
IRL Katanas were not the length of a long-sword, a Katana was the smaller side-arm sword of a Samurai, blade usually no longer than 24in, their larger main weapon was the Tachi, which is closer to long-sword in length, though typically still shorter. While both swords have elongated handles and can be wielded in two hands, that's just from the traditional fighting style, and their usual lack of shields. They can both be wielded just fine with one hand,
Swords larger than the Tachi, like the Dai-Katana, were two-handed.
Games often depict a Tachi, and call it Katana because it's the more common name that people know... for whatever reason. The Blades swords in this game, are Tachi.
