Displaying rare items in my house?
I just finished the quests in Forgotten Vale and have those diamond/ruby etc paragons. I was reading about them online and someone said there is a mod for your homes that allow you to display things like that.

Does anyone know which one it is? Unfortunately I sold the Elder Scrolls to that Moth Priest guy so I can't display them.

basically any custom player home or overhaul has artifact displays. it would be faster to list ones that dodnt TBH. where's your main house? and if your open to fully custom house what style do you want?

you can find overhauls for all the vinilia houses. the CC ones have displays already and custom mods cover most things from ships to castles to dwemer ruins and even Telvani mushroom houses.

Along with the above regarding vanilla player home overhaul mods (again, most have custom displays),

There is a mod that adds a few unique displays to the Hearthfire cellar(s) -

my advice go to nexus find a bunch you like download a load of them make a save and than check them out pick which ever one or ones you like best quit delete the ones you dont want roll back your save and play with the ones you want.

its mostly personal preference on which is best. a lot of people swear by elysium estate. its not my favorite but its one of the better ones

Legacy of the Dragonborn mod gives you a museum to display almost everything. But you would need to start a new game. And the best house in the game for features.

Elysium Estate has a shelf for the paragons in the living room at the upper right over the crafting tables, as well as displays for the claws, daedric artifacts, masks, thieves guild trophies, and a fair selection of other uniques.

edit: and the Estate is still reasonably-sized and functional as a house.

I found a cabin I really liked and ended up rebuilding it with named storage and custom displays using Creation Kit. I like my homes modest. I'm not for the giant manor homes or castles.

As said you'd need a modded home, some of the Creation Club homes have displays, though I'm not 100% sure if they have Paragon Displays. Elysium Estate that Mikk mentioned does for sure. That house is far and away my favorite home. Decent Size, good location, displays for most unique items, all crafting stations, planting spots, multiple adoption friendly, and it's completely free. You can start using it as soon as you reach it.

At least for me, I have not found a home I like more than Elysium Estate.

re: those Elder Scrolls, 'player.additem ##011a13 1' is Sun (the one you get from Serana) and 'player.additem ##0118f9 1' for Blood (the one you get from Valerica). I'm sorry, you sold what now? but there it is, right there. :-)

sadly as they're flagged as quest objects you can't remove them from your inventory. or can you? 'setquestobject ##011a13 0' / 'setquestobject ##0118f9 0' takes care of that and you can remove em... I think Dragon scroll is only temporarily a quest item, since you can sell it to the librarian orc dude at the mage college, but if it is, 'setquestobject 2d513 0' (if it ain't obvious, ## is your Dawnguard load order, probably 02 but, you know, verify.)

as for display mods that let you decorate with them, as people have already said there's a godawful amount of them, but check out Placeable Display Cases[www.nexusmods.com], they do this floating object one-unit thing, where you can scale the object in to make it look as "proper" as possible. the best thing though is they're constructed inventory items, so you can place them just about anywhere, even stock vanilla houses apparently.

The Moth priest will offer to buy the Blood and Sun scroll off of you, at least on the Dawnguard Side, not sure about the Vampire one. You cannot get them back like you can with the Dragon Scroll though. That's the games way to get rid of them since they remain quest Items. However, Elysium Estate has a custom display you can place the Elder Scrolls into, freeing your inventory of them if you don't want to sell them.
yes, I'm well aware, hence giving him the command to get it / them back. same reason the only display mod I offered up is one that works anywhere.

dude you seem kind of hung up on this Elysium house, be careful you don't trigger an episode and spend the next 100 hours improving your house layout just so... you know autism isn't something you can control nor what you obsess on. :claptrap: we get it, you like it and want others to like it.
Just remember if changing an existing house where you have stuff stored, EMPTY IT Before installing the mod (and check to see if it can be added to an existing playthrough.

Might save yourself some grief.
The mod the OP is referring to is Jaxonz positioner

I only mentioned it again because it is relevant for display purposes, and yes, while I do like the place, I am by no means obsessed over it, nor am I autistic.

I think the house you're talking about might be Lakeview Manor (part of Hearthfire DLC). It's called Lakeview Manor - As It Should Be. Amazing house.

It has a couple of minor bugs:
Always save before using the cellar stairs
Save before entering the room at far end of the cellar (to place weapon and armor trophys.

Some of them do have Paragon stands. Hendraheim for example has the stands on its basement level.
