Sawn Logs

[Met A Demon Once]

I have spent two days beating my head against a brick wall. I need Sawn Logs.

No one will sell to me... Neither the Vampires or Riverwood.

Ok I will go to cheat room and load some. Not... I get them but I don't.

Cannot find any place to log my own...

Something is telling me I cannot have any Sawn Logs... I can get all the building materials I need except for Sawn Logs.

you need to go to a lumber mill , like where you were standing at the very start of the game in Riverwood (talking with Gertude at the tree stump). Half Moon near Faulkreath , morthal...almost any city has one or one real close to it. the cost is 200 per 20 sawn logs including delivery fee

If you are doing the Golden Hills plantation you need firewood not lumber.

try chop some firewood and sell it to lumbermill owner, maybe then they become friendly and there would be dialog to buy lumber

I can get Firewood. I cannot get Sawn Logs.

Are you looking in your inventory for the sawn logs? Because they won't appear there.

Build a house outside of Riverwood. Without Timber IE Sawn Logs you cannot construct it.

if you need saw logs for one of your "manors", added by HearthFire DLC, then you have to purchase them from one of the lumber mills. Upon purchase, they won't appear in your inventory, but in a separate inventory. That one is linked to the pile of saw logs you have at each manor. If you go to there and have your cursor pointed at it, it will display the # of saw logs available.

seeing as you can't do that outside of using a mod, you should go to that specific mod's page and find out what went wrong

Normally the dialogue choice that lets you buy logs (or cut your own) unlocks when you buy your first Hearthfire home. If you are working on a CC or modded home instead, you might try buying the plot of land for one of the homesteads, and visiting the place, even if you don't do anything further with the homestead.

If you are working on one of the Hearthfire homes already, you might have a mod conflict of some sort.

Some trigger is missing to set off the process... Without it I cannot buy, log, etc... Sawn Logs.

Best guess Heartfire has not been triggered and has to be triggered to set off the ability to get Sawn Logs. The mod is not triggering Heartfire.
