Is it safe to use enablefasttravel 1 command on survival mode?
What title says. Love primary needs mechanic but not a fan of no fost travel. So my question is, is it safe for one to use console command that re-enables fast travel on survival mode? Ive noticed my needs lowers once I use fast travel, so its more or less still balanced. But wont my game break? Save corruption, quest bugs etc.

Being honest probably won't hurt if you take 10 minutes to create a new character and try that one out.

If you added mods DON'T DO THAT!

No mods, pure vanilla version + anniversary edition DLC. Its my first time playing special edition with its new DLC. I used to play skyrim legendary edition way back when, so far Im having a delightful time but disabled fast travel bothers me. Im trying to fix that via console command that re-enables fast travel for survival mod and wonder if my game safe to play that way

then try it with a backup, no harm, but with new character in case anything really occurred.

If you go through a door loading screen and instantly open the map and click on a location, you will be shown the fast travel prompt. There is always a carriage ride for the cost of coins too.
Enabling fast travel with Survival Mode shouldn't hurt anything. Fast travelling is still available with the carriage and through flying on dragons (once you have the shout from the Dragonborn DLC) with Survival Mode turned on, so enabling the ability to fast travel normally shouldn't cause issues.
tmm won't help, ft is still disabled, but the issue with the command is, it auto-disables it after use, so put it a ft.txt in the game directory so you can call it with 'bat ft' if you don't want to type it out each time you want to travel, or use a mod to perma-enable it.

but if you're gonna use mods, there are much better survival-esque mods than the included one which is rudimentary at best, so, you know, it's down to your decisions on this.

Pretty sure it's safe. I'm currently in a playthrough where I did just that and I have had no issues. I'm already done with main quest and Dragonborn as long as various other quests.

I had the mod Frozen North and it was bugging out fasttravel and it was annoying the heck out of me so I just enabled fast travel via console and viola problems solved.

It might still cause problems down the road but my current playthrough is already a long way in (maybe around 50 hours or more by now) and I have not run into any problems. My save is not borked yet.

OMG I knew I wasn't the only one doing this! But it's very inconsistent tho, do you know more or less what are the conditions? or is the condition just "be faster than Skyrim" for it to work?

this ^ any change from an interior to exterior cell will if you hit the map quick enough give you the fast travel option before the survival mode fast travel exclusion kicks in , its not 100% though , but generally works , otherwise you can simply disable survival mode wait a few seconds for fast travel to kick back in , travel , then re-enable survival mode again.
