MCM alternative, because SkyUI is broken and I don't even like it...
Hey there guys, does anyone know any alternative for MCM without SkyUI to Skyrim SE/AE? O.o

There is something called Nordic UI (though It might require SkyUI, I am not sure)

Personally I use SkyUI but also a mod that reverts it to Vanilla. For the most part it works fine, but things that specifically need SkyUI will not work (Honed Metal Services won't charge or deliver items (they will do the stuff immediately and for free). So...you know.

I THINK (not 100% sure) this is the one I use:

Thank you, I will try it! <3

As far as I know there is no MCM alternative. The MCM is made for SKSE and SkyUI. But, why is SkyUI broken? Wrong version of required mods? We don't have much to go on!

SkyUI cant break unless you severely break something. I have modded since like 2013 and never had it bug out. I even used SkyUI on SE before SKSE was released for it and it lacked serious issues. Its 100% on user no contest if skyui isnt working no part of it is on devs or modders.

AFAIK every UI overhaul uses SkyUI as its base

Nordic UI is not a replacement for SkyUI or MCM - it’s a “reskin” of SkyUI to give it and HUD elements a different design/style.

The short answer to the OP is no.

If you wanna use MCM, you have to use SkyUI, and there is no MCM alternative.

SkyUI is not “broken”. There was some kind of issue for 1.6.640 or maybe 1.6.1130 that made it look like the difficulty was always set to Adept regardless of what you put it at, but I think it was discovered that it was just a display issue and the difficulty was actually whatever you set it at - plus I think someone made a quick fix mod/patch that resolved the issue.

It breakes saving and some settings disappeared for me, for example difficulty change possibility... O.o I installed some mods, which fix those bugs, it looks like it's working, except I have to click on SkyUI notification about files missing, maybe now, when everything works again as it should, I will try to use SkyUI without mod which hides it...
By the way... if SkyUI mod is responsible for settings disapperance and breaks saving (which is a big game breaking bug), then YES, SkyUI is broken. Thx to other mods, which repair those bugs, SkyUI works as it should, but technically it(s broken...

So you’re blaming SkyUI for being broken when you seem to be ignoring some warning it’s giving you about missing files?

Don’t ya think maybe you should look into that and figure out what’s missing?

What? Can you read, or is my English that bad? SkyUI alone, with no modifications other than what it needs to function, caused my game to crash to the desktop when I tried to save. I mean, if the mod itself causes something like that, it's really broken...

“…except I have to click on SkyUI notification about missing files”

Yes, I can read.

SkyUI doesn’t corrupt saves or cause CTDs on its own. You either flubbed the install, or you’ve got something else conflicting with it - or your CTDs are being caused by something else entirely.

"I will try to use SkyUI without mod which hides it..." - this mod is probably causing it, not SkyUI... to make sure you understand me this time, the SkyUI Hide mod causes those missing/corrupted files that SkyUI warns me about in the game...
Yea SkyUI is "perfect" and that's why there "isn't" a mod, which fixes the problem with crash during save... and yea... I had to make something wrong... I'm just a 33-year-old computer expert who uses computers for a living...

The only save crash fix mod I can find is one that prevents it from happening for those who UNINSTALL SkyUI on an existing playthrough.

Myself, and legions of other users have been using SkyUI for 10+ years, across all types of mod lists and game versions - without any issues.

When you’re in the small minority of people who have problems with a mod it’s almost always due to user error - missing dependencies, conflicting mods, installations that were done incorrectly, etc.
doesn't mean you understand bethesda's way of doing things, and how mods actually work, this is on you son, we're all, nearly 100% of modded Skyrim gamers, using SkyUI without issue... and don't drop tech nerd stuff here, it doesn't lend credence to your modding ability anyway, besides we'll all start whipping out our certifications and measuring tapes... lots of I.T. in here, Leo. :-)
