can't get race menu to work because of skse

I have the anniversary edition from gog and I downloaded

This for skes Current GOG Anniversary Edition build 2.2.6 (game version 1.6.1179): Download 7z File

This for race menu RaceMenu Anniversary Edition v0-4-19-14 GOG

And yet I keep getting the "A dll plugin has failed to load correctly. if a new version of Skyrim was released, the plugin needs to be updated. Please check the mod's webpage for updates
Race menu (skee64.dll) disabled, incompatible with current version of the game

Any ideas why??

Race Menu hasn't been updated for 1179 yet, if you want to use it with GOG then you need game version 1.6.659 and the Race Menu download labeled "GOG"

yeah i figured out that there was something wrong with the version but then again how do i get the version 1.6.659?

Glad you were able to solve the problem without rolling back. I just wanted to let you know that, apparently, rolling back on GOG is easy. At least according to the guide GOG posted. But you have to use the Galaxy app.
