Anniversary Edition Even Working or Worth Getting?
Seen a few reviews blasting it for breaking the game.. Playing The Gate To Sovngarde Mod Collection. Top Tier decent btw. Wondering if Anniversary Edition would add anything decent?

Cheers.

I would say it is worth getting it adds lots of new content and it adds weapons and armour from oblivion and morrowind it also adds new locations and also lets you go to mehrunes dagons realm and also adds many new quests and adds new creatures like goblins from oblivion or nix hound from morrowind.

That alone sounds pretty sick.. I can always revert to the non-anniversary edition like choosing DLC me hopes.

Yes I think you can do that and if you can't do it I think you can do it with mod launchers I think and also if you have the Anniversary Edition it will also make the skyrim logo on the main menu into a gold skyrim logo on main menu.:cozyskyrimvr:

What's "worth it"?
-Based on how you judge whether you want a mod, do these items seem appealing?
https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Creation_Club If these appeal to you, the Anniversary Upgrade is a cost-effective way to get them relative to buying them a-la-carte. If you use modpacks, several major ones require the upgrade.

The biggest downside to the Anniversary Upgrade is dealing with BGS's lousy server reliability, but once you actually succeed in downloading your content you are good to go.

Thank You

The AE upgrade is basically just a bundle of paid mods. However, for most of them, there are better, free alternatives, so their "value" is rather questionable.

Unless you really need AE for something you just can't live without, don't bother with it. Otherwise, wait for a sale.
As small as some of them are, and there are free mods that are similar, I think the lot of them add to a playthrough.

Right now I am playing in vr and I miss having the ae content (and the mods that require it) that I have in the other version.
I got it too, but i delete what i don't want.

The Anniversary content itself wasn't the cause of that. When the Anniversary Upgrade came out, a patch came out at the same time. It was the patch that caused issues with modding, just like every patch before it did.

If you have installed the game on Steam anytime in the last year, it is all the same game version now regardless of owning the Anniversary Upgrade or not.

I got it and SE for free just for owning Oldrim when the new versions came out. I cannot really say. :/

Special Edition was indeed free for everyone who owned the original base game and all the DLCs on or before a certain date. As far as I know, however, the Anniversary stuff has never been free. A few pieces of Creation Club content (Fishing, Survival Mode, Saints & Seducers, and Rare Curios) were given away for free to everyone who owns Special Edition. But not the whole Anniversary Upgrade.

Huh, I think you're right. I guess I thought the free "creations" and graphical updates where me getting AE for free, but checking some articles and the store page reveals it's more a package of "creations". I think. I guess I got things wrong. :/
