Are you jealous or somewhat?
If Bethesda decides to hand out keys to other people, it is their choice? From my perspective, it's a nice action as Skyblivion is a really large project. They're spending a lot of their spare time in this. Calling out the company being "based" for this is kinda childish, no?
Perhaps some people don't pay much attention to urban slang?
A fair point, but as Elder Scrolls fans, you can't fault a man for coming to Bethesda's defense. Even if it is misguided.
"based" is a good thing
and yet I only payed for the Original and 3 DLCs. Think maybe $120 for 10,000 + hours of play.
Now Contrast that with Say Stellaris and their Expansion Packs which I think I spent $500-$750 over time for about 1300 hours of play time.
I don't know about you all but I made out on Skyrim.
It is clearly just self promotion, a mixture of scoring some good will points to rectify the tarnished reputation they have gotten over the years and a cheap promotion of the upcoming release by generating positive hype.
Nothing they do is based.
Based is an autocorrect that people have mistaken for the correct word.
What is it based on? etc....
Biased on the other hand has context as a single word on it's own.
It is either people mistaking an autocorrection as the real word, or them being irredeemably silly, I am giving people who misuse the word the benefit of the doubt.
